How to Delete a Credit on Quickbooks

How to Delete a Credit on Quickbooks, generate a credit memo report by following the steps outlined below:

  • Open QuickBooks and go to the Reports tab, then select Customers and Receivables.

  • To proceed, select the Transaction List by Customer from the new drown-down list.

  • Select the Customize Report option, then navigate to the Filters tab.

  • In the Choose Filter search area, type Transaction Type.

  • Click Transaction Type, and then select Credit Memo from the drop-down menu that appears.

  • Click OK to view all Credit Memos in QuickBooks Desktop.

Now that you have a list of all Credit Memos, you can settle an overdue invoice in one of four ways:

  • Make a credit and refund the amount overpaid.

  • Make a journal entry to deduct the amount.

  • Apply the credit to the following invoice.

  • Apply the credit to another unpaid invoice.
